"the Songs on the Way", as a title, is not really about like musical songs, but more along the lines of praises, which may or may not be musical in nature. However, when I was reflecting on the title it made me realize it'd been a long time since I'd shared a song that was musical in nature.
I am no stranger to songs and singing. Indeed, in the past when I asked my family what I should tell the guy I was dating about me they told me to warn him I sing.
Incessantly.
I used to write songs fairly incessantly too, though I'm kind of in a dry spell for that. But I thought I'd share some snippets of lyrics of songs I wrote in an old journal, since I haven't done that a lot.
Tremble, tremble, tremble
Till you do I resemble
My feeble efforts come to naught
Yearning, yearning, yearning;
For you as I am learning
To strive for you with every deed and thought
It's a song of longing for God. Hmm, here's another little one. The tune to this one gets stuck in my head:
God, the Father who made me,
Jesus Christ who saved me
The Holy Spirit who gave me
Union with my God
The above is really a refrain in a song, but I don't really like the verses now. I wrote both a long time ago.
Sorry I haven't given you any audio clips or anything. Guess you'll just have to use your imagination. :) I know, I know, it's such a hardship!
The God-the-Father part is very nice. Well done!
