I rewrote today's Psalm (28) in my own words.
I call to you, Beloved. You are my Rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me. If you remain silent, I will be in despair and anguish. Hear me calling to you for mercy, crying to you for help as I lift my hand to You, a plea to Heaven.
Be merciful towards me; do not drag me away with those disobey you. They do evil, the two-faced people who are nice to people's face but hate them down deep. You are just, so I know you will repay them for their evil, for what their hands have done and give them what they deserve.
It is due to the fact they have no regard for You, Beloved, and for what Your hands have done that You will tear them down and never build them up again.
Praise be to You, Beloved, for You have heard my cry for mercy! You are my strength! And my shield! My heart trusts in You, and You help me. My heart leaps with joy, and I praise You with songs and thanksgiving.
Beloved, You are the strength of Your people, my brothers and sisters. You are a fortress for the anointed one, Christ, in whom we are hidden. Save us and bless our inheritance, which is Jesus. Be our shepherd and carry us forever.
