I've decided to join the Ultimate Blog Party!
I was going to join this weekend but my crazy internet cut out before I could finish, so I'm way late joining... but I guess this is my dramatic entrance, right?

I'm Pamela. Nothing matters more to me than God, and I try to use this blog to glorify Him. I do this in a variety of ways from thanking God for my blessings, musing on God things, reviewing Christian books, and also just sharing stuff I do in my life. I also talk about preparing for my future, be it wedding stuff or learning Hindi. I'm twenty-six and preparing to move to India to marry my fiance, Ryan. He is wonderful Indian, Christian man. (Confession: I'm not a mom. But I love to read mom blogs and hope to be a mom sometime in the not too distant future. I hope one day to adopt as well as have biological children, and also to homeschool). This blog is for life.

The reason I chose Singing Pilgrim and "the Songs on the Way" is because I believe we Christians are pilgrims on a journey through this world. So I try to sing songs on "the Way" (incidentally a first century name for Christianity made popular in the gospel of John) in order to praise God. Because following God is a joyful thing!

ReplyDeleteWOW, moving to India. My advice? At first, no matter what, it will be difficult. You might cry. But 6 months down the road, after you've learned the best place to shop and where to get your hair cut and you've actually made a friend in India, you'll wonder why you ever got upset.
ReplyDeleteAND you will have so many unique blogging opportunities.
We are expats in Singapore. BIG change.
Back to the party.
What an exciting time for you. A huge move, marriage...praying for God's peace through it all. It's so nice to meet you.
ReplyDeleteThe UBP is a highlight of my blogging year, and I'm so glad that you've linked up this year!! I look forward to getting to know you better in the months to come.
