Yarn Along

Hey yarn along friends!

First: I'm having a book giveaway! Please go enter here. It's going on right now, and the drawing will be midnight on Sunday (ie, Sunday is the last day to enter). Enter now!

Other reading I've been doign includes My Big Bottom Blessing, which I reviewed earlier this week, and I'm currently working on As Silver Refined.

Also for my Friday night Bible Study I'm reading Trusting God by Jeff Bridges and the women's Bible Study I attended in the fall, but which fizzled for a while, has restarted and we're working on Covenant, a study by Kay Arthur.

I have several other books in the que, but I'll tell you about them next week.

So what about my yarning? Well I got some yarn for Tabitha's baby blanket borders. If you don't remember, she's my best friend who is currently pregnant with twin girls. However... I can't find the right crochet hook! Grr! So here is some yarn next to the blanket to show I am at least trying. Next week I'll have actual progress, because that hook can't hide from me forever.

Hope you guys are having a good week!

  1. So exciting! I haven't heard of any of these books, and I am looking for some new ones. Will definitely be checking these out! And the yarn looks so soft! My kids like to take my knitting and hide it...although I am pretty familiar with their hiding places now...

  2. Haha, at least you have an excuse with your kids! My hook is just hiding on its own accord (ie I lose things). And you should enter my giveaway if you're looking for a new book! (yep, I'm shameless!) It won't cost you a think and maybe you'll win!
