I loved this book. I loved the main character, Kate, and could really relate to her. With many contemporary romances, the hero has to be rich, famous, and handsome. I'm pretty sure that's a publisher's guideline. Because of this, many story lines seem unbelievable and the male characters lack depth. Becky Wade avoided this downside, making Matt deep and compelling, despite the fact he is a handsome, former professional hockey player. Matt struggles with grief and God, and it draws you in.
This was a great escape read, I curled up and polished it off as fast as possible. I definitely recommend it.
I received this book for free from Bethany House in exchange for your unbiased review.
