I absolutely loved it. I think men especially would really
enjoy it, and women as well (obviously, since I am one.) It’s a spy book. There are fierce fights,
international conspiracies, and a war for justice. This book, while Christian
fiction, could easily be enjoyed by Christians and non-Christians alike. The
book doesn’t hide its Christian themes, but it also remains accessible and not
dogmatic or preachy in any way.
Apparently the second in a series, it follows Marc Royce,
unofficial intelligence agent for the White House. In Rare Earth Royce is going
undercover to a Kenyan refugee camp in the shadow of an active volcano.
Seemingly, he’s working for Lodestone, a large corporation providing relief and
mercenaries. But in truth, he is trying to find out about a mystery involving a
kidnapped Israeli and his beautiful nurse sister.
Seriously, I recommend this book! I want to go read the
first in the series now. I think most people would enjoy this—I want to share
it with my fiancé, Ryan. Go, get it, read it.
I received this book free from Bethany House in exchange for
my unbiased review.
