Book Review: Snuggles' Japanese Alps Adventure by Ostermeyer

This is a visually delightful children’s book. The author, Ostermeyer, is a “master photographer” so these real photographs of snow monkeys in the lovely Japanese Alps. I think it’s a marvelous concept to let visual images of God’s creation illustrate a book that aims to teach children about His glory.

This short book is jam packed with facts, Bible verses, and a nice story about a blue eyed baby monkey, Snuggles. He is trying to travel, with his family, to the hot springs by the dawn of winter. The photos take you through three seasons and several small adventures for our furry little hero.

I learned a thing or two about snow monkeys! I believe children will be entertained. Ostermeyer strives to also provide life lessons, including information on prayer and creationism.

I enjoyed this book and look forward to sharing it with children in my life. I recommend it especially for the animal mad kids!

I received this book free from the BookCrash program in exchange for my unbiased review.
