Do Me a Favor?

Actually, I have several to ask of you, though if you do any of them I'll be happy.

The first is the easiest. Just hit this button to vote for me:

Picket Fence Blogs, which I use, just "reset". That means that every blog on it starts over from zero votes. I actually do get visits from this site, and the more votes I get the easier I am to find. So by clicking you can help me maximize my blog's impact. Just ten votes would leap me up 18 places right now, and the higher I am the more people see it. {And you can vote every day!}

The next favor is a little harder, but more fun. Tell me, what do you think of the new design?  I have to thank for Leslie for suggesting the inspiration for the color scheme. I'd made the new banner and buttons and she suggested this theme. Well, almost. I took the color scheme and tweaked it a bit, matching the orange to the banner's orange and making the green a little greener so it didn't clash with the leaf pattern, of which I'm fond. Blogger is being weird and won't let me change the text colors, or I'd have carried the theme a little farther. Apparently a lot of bloggers have been having that problem for months, but blessedly I just started so that's something. I had changed the font just a few weeks ago, so I'm happy with it. I'd also changed the tabs and a few other tweaks I'm not sure if you noticed.
So what do you think?

Kylee and I before I left
And the last favor is the biggest and the most serious. Any long time reader has heard of my friend Tabitha. She and I have known each other since we were nine. She is a mother of three, 21 month old son Jordan and five month old identical twin girls, Kylee and Natalie.  Due to being all squished together in the womb, the little girls got deformational plagiocephaly and torticollis, which means they couldn't really turn their heads and one side is flattened. Natalie's has been dealt with using physical therapy, but Kylee's is so bad she needs a helmet. Tabitha was devastated enough hearing that...

But then, after they had done the scans to make the helmet, Tabitha and her husband received horrid news. Their insurance won't cover the helmet. And if they tried to switch insurance companies, it will take 90 days and by then Kylee will have grown past the age bracket the helmet needs to help her with.  So she urgently needs to raise $2,650!

Her friends at work have started fundraising, and when I saw them come together I realized I could use my blog to ask for support. All she needs is 100 people to give $26.50.... actually she just needs 88 people to donate $26.50, because they've already raised $321!

If you'd like to help her, you can donate below. You'll be hearing more about this. They need to have the money by the end of January, so we have a week and a half. She is like my sister and her children are like my nieces and nephew.
