She's a girl!
She was born at 5 pounds 13 ounces, 12.59 inches long and is perfectly healthy. She had an apgar score of 8 at one minute and 9 at 5. She's breastfeeding well and we came home yesterday.
I'm looking forward to writing out my labor story and all that, but right now I'm struggling to find a few minutes to write this, especially as we don't have air conditioning in the room in which the computer is, and in the Indian summer therefore I can't have her out here with me while I write something of any duration. Right now she's napping in her cradle with Daddy hovering over her, but that probably won't last long. I'm trying to write and eat at the same time here.
This is all the time I have, I need to go!
Congratulations on your daughter! She's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI just had a question about the length you posted since that is awfully short (average for a 24-weeker). Was that a typo or did they do a crown-to-rump measurement only? We only got a crown-to-rump measurement with my son as some doctors are now unwilling to stretch out the legs if the baby is uncooperative.
Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl! I am so glad it went so well for you and all the best for an easy settling in for all of you.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I am very happy for you that all went well and that the little one is healthy.
ReplyDeleteWhen you hadn't posted in a few days, I assumed it was because you had a sweet baby at home :). Congrats, congrats, congrats! Your daughter is beautiful. I am praying that God blesses your lovely family.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! She's a little beauty :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read your birth story and all about the hospital stay.
