With A Sleeping Baby in My Lap

I have that nice "just worked out" feeling. Not the immediate, okay, I need to rest feeling, but the ten to fifteen minutes later feeling, when you're still sort of tingly but you don't feel wiped out anymore. Pleasant.

Though sick she's been able to have some fun this week!
Dreamer is sleeping on me now. She's still all stuffed up and today there was a tinge of green for the first time to her congestion. She's not had a fever yet, so we just have to keep doing what we've been doing, which is a safe baby cold med, saline nose spray, steam, and of course the nose bulby. She's very aware of what that is now and it's hard to get her stay still for it. But necessary. It's just congestion, so we're not sure if it's a head cold or allergies. We'd taken her to the doctor the day before the trip and he gave us the prescription for the med and instructions. It's been a week and a half. About four days ago she started coughing. At first I thought it was just the gunk coming out of her head and draining, but then the coughing got bad and I was afraid it was it progressing. We called the doctor but he told us just to do the same, as she has no fever. We increased the steaming. And she is better, in that she's not coughing as much and isn't complaining much about it. Mainly, she's a happy baby. But again, the gunk today was green tinged, so not sure. I kind of hope it's a cold so it'll be done with asap, if it's allergies who knows when it will end...

She heals in her sleep (we all do) so I am glad she's napping.

I haven't been a great blogger lately. I'm both planning too much and too little. That is, I keep planning out a week of posts, then not being able to follow through and getting caught up in the "no, Thursday is supposed to be THIS post" and not getting it out. I think I need to relax a bit and just post what I post and I'll get more out. Which is why I'm doing this off the cuff style one.

Ryan's working nights again after a month of working days and is in that tiring adjustment phase. The good part is he's gotten Sunday and Monday off. The last two schedule changes he's only had weekdays off. We've had pleasant family time.

Well, Dreamer's awake now! I'm off!
