Merry Third Day of Christmas!
Hope your family is enjoying this season!
In order to do the events we had planned for Christmas Eve and day I ended up not sleeping the night between them. No, I wasn't staying up late to get anything done it's just my sleeping disorder had my rhythm so that night was my day and try as I might I couldn't sleep and then our festivities started early morning anyway.
I had a nice, but busy, Christmas and thus crashed on Friday. We didn't do anything but watch tv and movies and ordered in Lebanese for dinner. Yum.
Today we webcam-ed in the morning with Dreamer's great-grand parents and two sets of great-aunts and uncles (my mother's parents, her brother and one of her sisters and their spouses.) This was their first time ever webcam-ing with us and it was fun.
Then after some housework got done and we had breakfast we went out around noon to take a stroll and play in the park because it is a nice warm and sunny day here in Gurgaon! We rarely walk in our neighborhood and we noticed one other home that is decorated for Christmas, which was fun to see. Christians are 2% or less of the population here, though as Ryan pointed out some people might just be celebrating for the heck of it. You see a lot of decorations in malls and such and sadly most people here think it's a day about Santa and gifts instead of about Jesus.
In the park Dreamer met some new baby friends! They are both 9 months old, so a little older than her (and I couldn't help but think of her cousin who is the same age as them and how they can play together whenever we go to America.) They enjoyed playing with her stacking cups with her, which was a Christmas gift from her great-aunt Mary-Michele that she'd seen on camera that morning.
Now we're planning on having a late lunch with Ryan's parents, which we're heading off to as soon as I get the laundry on the line!
Hope your Saturdays are also going well!
